Welcome to the Blackmoor Plant Centre Web site. Our goal is to provide you with useful information about our company that we hope makes it easier for you to do business with us.
At Blackmoor Plant Centre we normally keep about 100 varieties of apple, from "Adam's Pearmain" an excellent keeper dating from the 19th Century to old favorites like "Worcester Pearmain" with those in between including old varieties, suitable for those wanting to plant Victorian or Edwardian period orchards, to the modern disease resistant varieties only introduced in the 21st century like "Limelight". We also have many varieties of pears, plums, peaches, nectarines and cherries as well as soft fruits, nuts, flowering cherries and many others.

topMany top fruit varieties are available as cordon, espalier or fan-trained, as dwarf or standard. Our aim at Blackmoor Plant Centre is to provide, not only a wide variety of fruit trees, soft fruits and shrubs, but also a quality service. We like to see you and chat about the plants and your requirements, then when you are happy with your choice you can purchase it on the spot and take it away with you. We are a retail only business selling plants directly from our centre in Blackmoor, not to be confused with Blackmoor Nurseries who are nearby but who are a wholesale and mail order company.

We are able to supply all our trees on varying rootstocks. Our friendly staff are happy to help and advise you about the suitability of plants for the situation of your garden.

We are now open all year round.

During the winter months we are providing a wide range of bare root trees and bushes. From April onwards we have a good selection of containerised trees and bushes, as well as lots more shrubs and bedding plants.

topWe also stock tree stakes, ties, compost and fertilisers - so you can walk away with everything you need to plant your trees. Come along and see Mike to find out what we can do for you.

There may be specific things that you require which we do not have in stock eg hedging plants, specific shrubs etc, this doesn't mean we cannot obtain them. Please do not hesitate to ask, we will do our best to source them for you.

Blackmoor Open Day is on the 2nd Sunday in October. Come and taste the apple varieties on offer, then pop in and see us, to order your trees for the upcoming season.
